Integrated Action Programme in Lifelong Learning
This new Integrated Action Programme in Lifelong Learning programme incorporates the ensemble of existing internal education and training programmes. It will be comprised of four specific programmes: Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci and Gruntvig. Additionally, the proposal incorporates a “transversal” programme and the Jean Monnet programme, focusing on European integration.
The objectives of the Integrated Action Programme in Lifelong Learning for each specific programme are given below: Comenius: Involve at least three million pupils from schools in the Member States in joint educational activities. Erasmus: Involve at least three million university students to study abroad by the year To provide EU study abroad opportunities for a total of 3 million university students by 2012. Leonardo da Vinci: Increase training placements in enterprises and training centres in another EU country to at least 80 000 per year by 2013. Grundtvig: Support adult educational mobility for 7000 individuals per year by 2013 |
