Integrated Action Programme in Lifelong Learning

Period: 2007-2013
Budget: EUR 6 970 million

This new Integrated Action Programme in Lifelong Learning programme incorporates the ensemble of existing internal education and training programmes. It will be comprised of four specific programmes: Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci and Gruntvig.

Additionally, the proposal incorporates a “transversal” programme and the Jean Monnet programme, focusing on European integration.

 

The objectives of the Integrated Action Programme in Lifelong Learning for each specific programme are given below:

Comenius: Involve at least three million pupils from schools in the Member States in joint educational activities.

Erasmus: Involve at least three million university students to study abroad by the year To provide EU study abroad opportunities for a total of 3 million university students by 2012.

Leonardo da Vinci: Increase training placements in enterprises and training centres in another EU country to at least 80 000 per year by 2013.

Grundtvig: Support adult educational mobility for 7000 individuals per year by 2013
